Mantis no more.
The wrist and hand motion required to shift gears with conventional Time Trial shifters is not only wasted time, but a compromise in bicycle control as well. Shimano uses a two-button interface on the Ultegra Di2 Remote TT Shifter Set that requires minimal movement from your thumb for instant cadence adjustment without a change in hand position.
That's an undeniable advantage to electronic shifting. The fact that your sleek TT bike won't have mantis-like forelegs should also call your attention to these lightweight gear selectors. Another advantage is there are no cables. No cables means no friction.
Also, the system makes fast shifts up or down the range, front and rear. Each shift is the same. Every time -- you'll appreciate the consistency. Better still, you can kiss cable maintenance goodbye. Never again will your shifting performance degrade over time or will you have to fumble with cable tension.
The double buttons have a pronounced surface area to make shifts a thoughtless, fully-intentional affair. The buttons have 2mm of travel, and are as easy to use as a mouse click. Each click of the button results in one shift. If you're coasting, you can pre-shift any number of gears, and the system will engage when you start pedaling.
The Ultegra Di2 Remote TT Shifter Set is not backwards compatible with the Dura-Ace 7970 Di2 derailleurs or wire kits. It is compatible with Dura Ace 9070 11-speed and Ultegra Di2 10-speed E-tube electronics systems. It plugs into the second port of the Ultegra Di2 levers, and can also be used with Ultegra Di2 in a TT/Tri setup without Ultegra Di2 levers by using the SM-JC41 Junction Box.
- Safer, more comfortable hand position
- Cleaner and more aerodynamic
- Shift while coasting

Battery and Wires:
Our Shimano Di2 packages are built for three standard configurations based on battery location and wire routing. First, you'll need to determine if your frame uses an internal or external battery mount, and whether the routing is either internal or external. Below is a guide for which battery, charger, mount, and junction boxes are required for your configuration.
|Battery||Battery Charger||Battery Mount||Junction A||Junction B|
w/ External Routing
|SM-BTR1||SM-BCR1||SM-BMR2||SM-EW90 A/B 3/5 port||SM-JC40|
w/ Internal Routing
|SM-BTR1||SM-BCR1||SM-BMR2||SM-EW90 A/B 3/5 port||SM-JC41|
w/ Internal Routing
|SM-BTR2||SM-BCR2||SM-EW90 A/B 3/5 port||SM-JC41|
The SM-BMR2 battery mount is available in three configurations -- Long External, Short External, and Long Internal. Both Long versions are to be mounted using the bottle cage mounts, while the Short version is designed for Di2-specific frames with either a chainstay or down tube mounting location.
There are two junctions needed for completing your Di2 build -- A and B. Junction A, SM-EW90, is located at the handlebars and available in both three- and five-port options. The three-port option is intended for standard shifting with a left and right hand shifter. If you have the intention of using Shimano's satellite sprint shifters, or a combination of time trial shifters and shifter/brake levers, the five-port junction box will be the necessary selection.
Depending on your frame specification, Junction B (SM-JC40 or SM-JC41) is located either internally or externally at the bottom bracket area. Accordingly, SM-JC41 is designed for frames with internal wire routing, while SM-JC40 is intended for external wiring options.
For your convenience, we've created wire packages for your Di2 build kit in the sizes Small, Medium, and Large. Below, you'll find which wire lengths are included in each kit. Additionally, we've recommended a kit size based on your frame size.
|Down Tube Wire||700mm||750mm||950mm|
|Front Derailleur Wire||300mm||350mm||400mm|
|Rear Derailleur Wire||500mm||550mm||600mm|

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Can' t say enough good things about these. I have them installed on my TT tri bike and takes the thinking out of shifting. They package is great, less to think about and at a more reasonable price!
Are these the SW-R671 shifters?
I have a 2013 venge with Ultegra di2 10 speed. The bike has a 3 port fitting and I wish to set the bike up as a TT bike. Can I do it with these TT shifters. Do the wires plug directly into the brake levers or do I need a 5 port.
You need a 5 port junction box unless you have Dura Ace shifters or Ultegra 6800 or 8000 series shifters.
