SH-MT3 Cycling Shoe

We appreciate the performance benefits offered by a pair of stiff-soled cycling shoes, but sometimes it makes sense to have a shoe that's easier to walk in for commuting, touring, and mountain bike rides that involve some hiking. Fortunately for us, Shimano offers versatility, comfort, and a more casual style with its SH-MT3 Cycling Shoe. It's designed as multi-use mountain touring shoe, employing one-piece synthetic leather uppers for durability and an outsole that sits at a four out of twelve on Shimano's stiffness scale, allowing some flex for comfortable walking while still delivering the efficiency of a clip-in cycling shoe. It uses a simple and lightweight lace-up closure, and is compatible with any 2-bolt cleat.

  • A cycling shoe with casual style that's easier to walk in
  • Rubber outsole delivers grip and walkability on uneven surfaces
  • Breathable perforated uppers provide ventilation on warmer days
  • Lace closure is lightweight and allows a quick and easy fit
  • Compatible with 2-bolt mountain bike cleats

I ordered 44 which was supposed to be a 9.5 and they are closer to an 11 or 11.5, if you're going to buy these make sure you order at least 1.5 sizes smaller than you normally would. They seem very high quality other than the sizing issue.

Seriously Oversized

I'm giving three stars because they seem like they would work well, however I had to return them because they run larger in relation to the expected size than any other shoes I've ever purchased. Of course there are variations among manufacturers, but the size 46 I purchased measured almost two inches longer from heel to toe than the pair of Shimano mountain shoes also size 46 that I was replacing. These Shimano MT3's which in US sizing are roughly an 11.5 were the same length as a pair of size 13 (US)running shoes I own,
