SH-CT5 Cycling Shoe

When you're wanting a little versatility in your setup, reach for Shimano's SH-CT5 Cycling Shoes. These commuter-friendly kicks give the aesthetics of a sneaker, but with the added security of two-bolt mountain bike cleat mounts, so you can clip in to your steed and hammer through the streets. Synthetic leather uppers hold up to the rigors of your commute, and let fresh air in through perforations in the toe box, and sides. A supple EVA midsole cushions your arch on long rides or sprints into the bodega after work to snag dinner. The lace-up closure keeps your foot secure, and looks just like your go-to kicks so your style stays on point even on your steed.

  • Commute in style with sneaker-inspired kicks
  • Cleat mount lets you securely clip in to your steed
  • Bolt-on mount cover allows shoes to double as flats
  • EVA midsole cushions your stride and pedal stroke
  • Perfoated synthetic uppers breathe and hold up to the ride
  • Grippy outsole keeps footing secure off the bike
  • Lace-up closure offers a snug fit, and classic look

Great Shoes

I've used it several times

I bought these shoes to use on my road bike. I’m 70 years old and I’ve had foot problems. So I decided to switch from using an SPD-SL pedal to the SPD pedal. So far so good, no more foot problems.

Decent mtb shoes

I've put it through the wringer

I bought these shoes for compition use in Xc races and I’m pretty happy with them considering the price. They flex alilttle more then the usual high end strap cleats but they are nice to walking and the cleats them self hardly hit the ground

This is my second pair. These are not really MTB shoes; shimano calls them "touring" shoes. If you want to clip in and don't want to walk like Frankenstein and don't need to be the sleek 60 yo Filippo Ganna clattering around the coffeeshop, they're kind of the only shoe out there. The closest thing to a regular sneaker with cleats. The shank is stiffer than a regular sneaker, but softer than any other bike shoe I've found, so you can walk all day in them. They are very well made, particularly against the fashion brands. There are a lot of good looking, expensive and cheaply made shoes. I have 18 months and about 3000 miles on the first pair, which probably have another 3-6months of daily rides and walking left. I bought the 2nd pair early because they are a bit hard to find. Cons: 1) they run small - I normally buy 10.5-11US shoes; a 46cm works right for me here. 2) would like to have a black option (women's, black, looks better to me). Perfect for bikepacking, tour cycling, commuting, hanging out.
