Run a little small.

I have always worn size 47 cycling shoe, never had a problem, but these run a little small in length and width. The sole is a little flexible. but other than that ok cheap shoe.

Decent Entry Level Shoe

This is a good quality entry level shoe, but I needed more arch support and the removable footbed is very basic and offers little support, with a low arch and no molded heel cup. Fit is spot-on, I'm a 9-1/2, and the 44 fit well. Shimano shoes also offer a bit more width in the toe box than most other brands. Shimano equates their 44 to a 9.7 US size, which sounds about right. I returned it because of the thin footbed, but if you don't need a lot of arch or heel cup support you'll find these shoes to be an excellent value. Shimano does sell a better footbed for around $30, but for that price you can simply upgrade to the RC3, which comes standard with that footbed.
