Go with the 1L

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

After buying about 4 of the smaller bottles over the past couple years, I realized it made a lot more sense to pony up and buy the 1L, even though I only do a full bleed every 6-9 months. Definitely a better economical choice, and you don't have to be as stingy with your bleeds as you do with the small bottles. As others have noted, this stuff works well and is the only thing I'd put in my XT brakes. One odd thing, however, is that this bottle was shipped with less than 1000ml in the container: I didn't see any signs of leakeage in the packaging, so am thinking this might be a common issue.

All the mineral oil

Bought the big jug so I always have it handy....mineral oil based brakes are the only choice for me...DOT fluid is not as user friendly.

This is A LOT of mineral oil. Unless you're working on a whole bunch of brakes this will last you a long time!

the best

buy the big bottle if you are an at home mechanic, nothing but the best formy shimano brakes :)

Good stuff

I keep a big jug on hand for all of my family's mountain bike disc brakes. You never want to run out in the middle of a last minute brake bleed.

Keep your brakes feeling fresh with frequent bleeds. This bottle will last a while.

Good value

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Compared to the cost of the smaller bottles it makes sense to go for the jug. Nothing fancy here, just the oil you need to bleed your Shimano brakes. I've been an Avid brake user for a long time, it's nice to be on Shimano brakes and be able to bleed using something less toxic than DOT brake fluid.

Lots of oil for bleeding.

What can I say. It's shimano oil, and I've never had an issue with it. I ended up buying a larger jug since it is more economical since I usually end up helping my buddies out with their bleeds.

This should last you a while!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This bottle should keep your brakes going to the future! Gotta pick one of these up if you run Shimano brakes.

Glug glug glug

I've used it several times

This big ol' jug of mineral oil is a great value compared to the price of the smaller bottles. Buy this if you have a couple bikes in the house. Or if you just have one bike, buy it anyways and offer to bleed all your friend's brakes for a six pack - you'll make out like a bandit!

Jug of Joy

Familiarity:

The smaller bottles are great if you need to bleed an individual brake, but when you've got multiple bikes running Shimano brakes and they're in need of a pre-season bleed, the big bottle is where it's at. Keep the individual bottles for your traveling tool kit.
