OEM is worth it
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Fit:
- True to size
Easy to replace and provide the great performance expected of Shimano. Comes with a new spring. I wish it included a new pin clip, as I have a way of dropping that part upon removal, and it always takes a strange bounce and goes under my work bench, never to be seen again.

They are indeed brake pads.

Shimano claims that these pads are more powerful than the outgoing L02A for which these are the replacement for. In practice, I didn't notice any power increase. I did however notice a HUGE improvement in the lifetime in these pads. I don't have problems with brake fade or squealing brakes but supposedly mitagate those issues as well. The price is on the higher end but it's totally worth it. I'll be comparing these directly against the swissstop RS pads in the future, stay tuned.

No more squeal
- Familiarity:

Replaced the metallic pads with these resin pads on my rear brake. Down here in Houston, sweat dripping on the rear disc was causing squealing with the metallic pads. Now, so much quieter. No loss of braking power - of course the descents are mainly highway overpasses.

Are these brake pads suitable for Shimano Ultegra (road bike)?
