Why We Like The J03A Resin Disc Brake Pads

Going fast is only fun so long as you can stop. As you tap the brakes on your favorite downhill run, take comfort in the knowledge that you installed the Shimano J03A Resin Disc Brake Pads to slow your roll no matter where the road takes you. Made with a aluminum base and featuring Shimano's air cooling fins, these reliable pads renew your braking system for confident stopping and greater modulation. The resin material reduces noise compared to metallic pads, so you won't become a spectacle as a result of brake squeal whenever you tap the levers. Each pack contains pads, retaining clips, and a spring needed to replace the pads on one brake caliper.
  • A resin brake pad for extended periods of intense braking
  • Radiator cooling fins increase pad life and reduce brake fading
  • Resin compound reduces noise and promotes power modulation
  • Each package includes 2 brake pads

What do you think about this product?

Do these pads work on an Ultegra BR R8070 caliper

Does this pad fit a GRX caliper?

Hi William! For the GRX caliper you would need the K03S for the resin pads, and K04S if you were needing a metallic pad option. These J03A pads will not work. I know brake pads are hard to find right now. Please reach out to a Gearhead if you don't see the pads you need. We can at least give you an ETA for when we'll have them back in stock!

Stayed with the stock pads

I've put it through the wringer
True to size

After 7000 miles the back pads on my Canyon Endurace were paper thin. I've used the sintered pads on my other bike, they have more initial bite but the resin seem to have better modulation and the same maximum stopping power. Competitive Cyclist had them in stock at a decent price, something I can't say for their competitors. Kudos CC!

Works great!

I've put it through the wringer

Nothing really to say. Great pads: silent and brake good.
