Shimano’s GRX components are all tailor-made for gravel riding performance, and the RX750 wheelset is no exception. Balancing weight and durability, this wheelset delivers the stiffness and control we need when riding over mixed terrain, from dirt to gravel to the ribbon of singletrack.
Like Shimano’s other tried and true wheel offerings, the RX750 also uses an easily serviceable cup and cone bearing system within the steel hub body. The heavier steel at the hub is no penalty for rotational weight and helps extend the durability of the wheelset. The aluminum rim keeps weight in check and is shaped for optimal mud shedding to help us get through that infamous Oklahoma peanut butter.
Riding gravel means having an open mind to what a “rideable” surface looks like, so Shimano crafted the RX750 wheelset with a 21mm internal rim width and tubeless construction. This gives us the ability to run 30-50mm tires, depending on the terrain and our preference.
The RX750 wheels are centerlock rotor compatible and use 12x100mm and 12x142mm thru-axles for easy pairing with the majority of gravel and cyclocross framesets.
- A purpose-built gravel wheelset for your all-road shred sled
- Aluminum rim is strong and durable for the long haul
- Versatile 21mm internal rim width pairs well with tires 30-50mm wide
- Tubeless-ready rim makes tire set-up simple and lasting
- Thru-axle spacing readily compatible with majority of gravel frames
- Cup-and-cone hub bearings are easily adjusted and serviced if needed

Great wheels for the price!
I haven't seen much written or reviewed about these wheels, so I'll give my experience so far. Bought these during the 20% off holiday sale, and figured for the price they'd be a good winter/training tubeless wheelset for me, riding in cold, crappy midwest conditions. The wheels come already pre taped, with a tubeless valve stem set up. I weighed the set as is with the tape and valve stem. Front wheel weighed 770g and rear weighed 950g. These were for the 700c wheels. I'd say this weight is close to being on par for what was listed, which I think was 1650g for the rims without tape and valve. Internal measured 21.6mm and external was 26mm. Set the wheels up with Panaracer Gravelking plus 35mm slicks with Stans sealant. Mounting the tires was a breeze, and they sealed pretty easily as well. Havent had any sealant leaks either. I've only put about 400 miles on them so far outside due to winter weather restraints, but so far they've been great! Ive ridden them on road, gravel, snow, some mud and muck and they've been a surprisingly durable. They aren't snappy like a light carbon race wheel, but once they get up to speed, they do roll fast. They are still true, and bearings are still smooth even after one ride where the wheels were caked with dried mud and salt. I'll probably update again once the weather improves and I can continue to put a lot more miles on them. But, for around 350 bucks is a great deal for this wheelset, and I have actually really enjoyed riding on them so far.
