Makes for a clean setup

    This internal junction helps clean up your wire setup by allowing for internal routing of wires as opposed to the junction box under the stem. It'd be silly to run the old, external style with this being available now.

    Makes for a very clean bike build

      I used this as part of a conversion of a mechanical Pinarello F10 to Di2 with an in frame application. It came out awesome. Very happy with the conversion.

      I've built up a few DI2 bikes with this internal junction A recently and it really cleans up the build. With new stems and bars you can run everything internally and the junction just looks like a bar end plug.

      Unanswered Question

      Can you use this on a MTB, same bar end capable? W/ the ew-wu111? What would I need? I am running first gen XTR Di2 with synchro shift. now, Battery is in the stem.

      This thing deletes the junction box that hangs down under the stem, and makes an already clean front end even cleaner. It comes with mounts for both a bar end and frame port style install. The one thing to note, if you do not have a "di2" specific handlebar, you will have to drill a hole in the drops of your bar in order to get the wires to install the proper way.

      I already have Di2, with a 5 port junction box (TT set up with shifters on aero bars and regular bars). Does this have enough ports to handle that? Also, do you need to have E-tube specific derailers or can regular Di2 DRs be retro fit to E-tube? Would the inline wireless unit be an easy way to retrofit to E-tube. Thanks.

      Hey Jeff,

      Unfortunately this does not have enough ports, there are only two in the back of it. You may be able to come up with some way of using a combination of this piece and the internal junction box (SM-JC41) but I haven't experimented enough to know with 100% certainty that would work.

      Pretty Lights

      I was most impressed by the pretty lights on this junction box. When I switch syncro shift modes the green and red lights flash simultaneously and no matter the temperature or time of year I can't help but feel a bit of Christmas cheer.

      The actual review: It installs easily with the y split root, allows you to perform adjustments and change syncro shift modes and provides a convenient charging port.
