Dura-Ace BB-R9100 Bottom Bracket
Our modern world of bottom brackets is something of a labyrinth; if you can decipher the clues to find your way to the one that works for you, we commend you. But if a few shadowy paths still leave you uncertain or confused, let us try to illuminate one of them for you. The Dura-Ace BB-R9100 Bottom Bracket has stood as a bellwether for solid, reliable bottom bracket design since Shimano wisely embraced external bottom bracket technology when it wasn't yet popular. Despite new bottom bracket standards bombarding us more often than ever, Shimano keeps its faith in this serviceable, reliable, and exceptionally durable design, and for good reason. Improved seals ensure a quieter ride and reduce drag, and the smaller friction-reducing bearings that first appeared on Dura-Ace 9000 return to smooth your ride once again.
- Exceptional bottom bracket design returns again
- Small bearings reduce friction and roll smoothly
- Seals reduce drag without compromising durability
- Available with English or Italian threading

The Little Things

- Fit:
- True to size
- Height
- 6` 0"
- Weight
- 195.00 lbs
Sometimes the little things can make a big difference. In our sport millimeters matter. I changed out my bottom bracket, not due to any specific need, but just the itch to do right by my trusty steed. With that, I upgraded from a Shimano Ultegra BB to the Dura-Ace. The project in and of itself was very straight forward. Components came out and went in smooth as butter... Winter weather is upon us in MD and the bike has been committed to the Hammer trainer until further notice. (Crap roads+wintry mix weather+poor roads=NO THANK YOU!) Been really enjoying some serious SufferFest workouts, and this bottom bracket is getting a serious breaking in period. It's fantastic! It feels as smooth as can be and those NM workouts are having me put some serious watts through those cranks. Nothing of note to report aside from utter satisfaction. A nice upgrade for an insignificant cost. I enjoy doing my own wrenching, so this was fantastic buy!

Got this to replace an old Ultegra bottom bracket for an Ultegra crank because of crinkly creaking during hard pedaling. Would have be fine with another Ultregra bottom bracket, but out of stock. Threaded into my Pinarello F8 bottom bracket properly, tightened up and torqued in as expected. Cranks installed as expected and spin smoothly. Creaking during hard pedaling went away. Have had it on for about 300 miles so far. Pretty cheap solution, and now I've got some Dura Ace on the bike!

I have the Park Tool BBT-9, BBT-59, & BBT-69.2. Will any of these work, or if I need another special tool or adapter, which one?

Great improvement for a few bucks, pedaling feeling is smoother than tiagra/105 model, just check compatibility with your frame and crankset, since this is laser cut, it could not fit your frame, the guys at my local bike shop had to use teflon but they pulled it off

It should. As long as the spindle is 24mm which I believe it is.
