Deore BR-M6120 Disc Brake
Making its way onto the new Shimano Deore 12-speed group is the updated Deore BR-M6120 Disc Brake caliper. At the heart of the new M6120 is the high powered four-piston system that offers high stopping power and quick retraction after letting off the levers for excellent modulation and a small and large piston engagement sequence. Smaller pistons engage with the incoming rotor, followed up with larger pistons to handle the larger stopping forces. This reduces rotor wobbling under load and also reduces noise and chatter to help you enjoy the ride instead of fretting over concerning bike noise.
The M6120 keeps your lines and your garage cleaner as well with One Way Bleeding tech that, you got it, has one way bleeding to prevent air bubbles from being trapped in your lines, which improves braking feel and safety. Add a funnel tool for easy cleanup too. You’ll also be pleased to see that Shimano’s high-performance ICE Tech is onboard to keep temps under control during extended periods of braking.
- Powerful and grabby disc caliper for Deore 12-speed
- Four-pistons boosts downhill confidence and control
- Rotor wobbling under pressure is reduced as well as noise levels
- Pistons quickly retract for precise and intuitive operation
- One-way bleeding keeps air our of your lines

Arrived leaking oil, contaminated pads
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Fit:
- True to size
I ordered both front and rear brakes. Both arrived leaking with contaminated pads. The box for the front brake had an obvious spill. The rear brake looked fine at a glance but after removing the pads I could see oil on the back of the pads.

Leaky piston seals
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Fit:
- True to size
- Height
- 5` 11"
- Weight
- 175 lbs
The piston seals began leaking within a couple of rides contaminating the pads and rotor. After the brakes started squilling loudly i pulled the pads and sure enough, an oil ring the size of each piston was visable around the back side of each pad. Shimano has an issue with piston seals so i switched brands

Shimano Brakes
They work great! Very easy to assemble. Im not sure why the 1 star review because you have to assemble. Cut the cables to fit and bleed the brakes and you're ready to go. Would recommend them to anyone.

Do these have the ceramic pistons I think the slx have them but it would be awesome if they do on these

You sent me parts not an assembled brake
I order this brake expecting to receive the part with fluid ready to install, instead I received a separated caliper and brake lever, with a hose and all the parts unassembled. How can you make this right Backcountry since I will have to pay to have it assembled and bled????

Shimano packages their brakes like this to make installation easier for those with internal routing. I believe they call it a "J-Kit". Zees I ordered a few months back came like this as well. It's extremely easy to connect the hose to lever. Here is the video I watched for reference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PE-wbt6Ab_s

😂 you find the manager yet Karen? No where on the page does it say "assembled" or "pre-bled" you rookie. Keep throwing a fit though, maybe they'll send you a lollipop.

Are these pre bled?

Cuz dude is a bitchy douche who is either too lazy or inept to bleed brakes himself. 🤷
