Description

ARX Plus Helmet

Designed for everyday rides and races, this sleek, versatile helmet uses trickle-down technology from Scott's pro-level helmets to keep you safe in the saddle, whether on gravel or road. The MIPS technology is hardly noticeable beneath the ultralight, in-mold polycarbonate/EPS foam body, while the extensive venting channels Scott added throughout promote cooling airflow.

  • Scott's first road helmet to offer the MIPS system
  • MIPS low-friction liner dissipates rotational forces
  • Lightweight In-Mold construction with ample ventilation
  • MRAS3 fit system adjusts with twist of a rear dial
  • Reflective decal for enhanced visibility

    Nice helmet, poor quality padding

    Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
    Fit:
    True to size

Purchased this helmet in Sept 2019. Comfort and fit are great. However, it is now June 2020 and the brow pad has disintegrated. Sent a note to Scott regarding this but received no response. Scott does not offer replacement pads on their website. I rarely used the helmet Dec thru Feb so the pad lasted a mere six months. The pad in my old LG helmet is still intact.

Good helmet, but watch the sizing

    Familiarity:
    I've used it several times
    Fit:
    Runs small
    Size Bought
    medium

    Weight

I recently bought the Scott ARX Plus & using the sizing guidelines, ordered a medium. My head measurement was at the upper end of the guideline, but still within the medium range. While the helmet itself fits, at its outer adjustment, the straps are too short to wear without feeling choked, even though I have a skinny face & no extra chins ;) So, if you're at the upper end of the medium guideline, you might want to opt for the large size.

Weight spec? Pictures of helmet interior WITH plastic retention harness? Backco needs to break out their scale: Scott does not publish weight, which is bizarre given: A) weight is sole, objective, quantifiable spec for a helmet, B) Scott is such a Euro, weight-obsessed XC brand. Along the same lines, why on earth would Scott *remove* the entire plastic retention harness before taking pictures of the helmet? Images of the fit harness / padding configuration are the *most* important visual information that can be conveyed regarding comfort and fit.

What is the weight? Manu's website is down.
