Description

Description

The Sci'Con Roller System 2 is the newest version of their Roller saddle bag mounting apparatus. Like its predecessor, the Roller System 2 is easy to use. This is just the mount, an extra for your spare bike so your repair kit will just be a twist away. You'll only need one saddle pack and repair kit -- just shuffle it between the two bikes.

The Spare Roller System 2 saddle mount attaches between the seat rails and stays fixed in place, even when you remove the bag. It's a bit different from the first version. The two tabs that create the "key" have provisions that allow the bag to ratchet tight into the mount, and its dimensions are slightly different. Please Note: It's not compatible with the original Roller System.

Terrible, it slides on the seat rails

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The actual bag itself is great, but the mechanism which attaches to the seat and the interface which is attached to these bags are faulty. The mech that attaches to the seat will slide on the seat rails, doesnt matter how hard you tighten it, it WILL come lose and when it does, you better hope that you hear when your bag hits the road... 2nd issue is that the apparatus that is part of the bag itself that interfaces with the locking mechanism on the seat breaks off from the bag, I have had this happened several times over speed bumps or rough road. I actually had to plastic weld it in place. This is a great idea for a product but right now it has some terrible flaws that I would stay away from, unless you like losing your bag and patch kit, etc.
