Great universal rack
We bought our Sentinel 3 rack to carry our sons bike back home from school, a trip from Connecticut to central North Carolina. Following the instructions and using the correct accessory straps, we were able to mount it on the Kia van we had to come home. I checked it every 30 minutes at first then each stop we made ever 2 hours. It never budged. It was solid as it could be. Because the pads are foam and all the strap hooks are coated, it did no damage at all to the vehicle. We were very happy with it. We only used it that one time but that was a trip of over 600 miles.

Functional
Adequate carrier for the price. Belt's tend to slip especially with some vertical movement.

Missing Parts
This item arrived missing the cotter pins that hold the frame in shape after adjustment. The rack is completely useless without these pins. The manufacturer has been completely non-responsive.

Proceed with caution
We installed this bike rack pretty securely on the back of our Toyota Matrix. Recently, I noticed that the straps start to come loose at highway speeds - I just had to tighten them down. To really work well, this needs something more secure than the over-under strap pieces. Also, I would prefer that the plastic pieces that receive the bike frame have a much larger diameter, to accommodate different sizes of bikes.

Great rack for my SAAB 9.3 5-Dr Hatchback
I am using a Sentinel 3-bike rack for my SAAB 9.3 5-door hatchback. It has been a fantastic buy. The fit is perfect, and the time it takes for me to put it on the car and then remove it afterwards is so short that it has now become almost routine and automatic. I recently purchased a ACURA after trading-in my SAAB. Hopefully, the same rack fits the ACURA; otherwise, there is no question that I would go for another Saris Sentinel. Thanks.

Great rack!
I bought this because it was the only bike rack in the bike shop and I was making a 1500 mile trip, so I needed it, BUT it was a great purchase! The bike rack fits 3 bikes and I haven't had problems with the rack since buying it. I did scratch my car with it, but that was user-error not the bike racks fault :)

Great Rack!
Bought this rack three years ago and commonly hold two 26 inch mtb and 1 29er at the same time, haven't had them fall off yet, great rack for the value, only con is the pads rub the paint a bit, but that's okay, my car isn't inthe best shape..
