most useless "lock" ever
The locked end can be slipped right out through the loop, making this product no more effective than a piece of rope tied in a loose knot. It takes about a minute but you can undo this "lock" with your bare hands. What a total waste.

First time user
This is my first saris bike rack the only thing so far is i have a 1-1/4 hitch and the lock set up bolt is to long and can possibly be cut off need too have 2 different lengths

Terrific Rack
This is my second unit. I bought the first one several months ago. A few days ago, I got rear ended by a hit and run driver. Pretty much made a mess out of the rack. Went right down to my dealer and bought another one. One suggestion on the design. You've put reflective tape on the wheel holders. However, when you put the carrier in the up position to store it away while on the car; the reflective tape goes away. You should put some more of the reflective tape on the bottom of the wheel holders, so it will still be visible when the carrier is up. Easy fix, but some folks might not notice this issue.

Backup lock
We use this lock as a secondary lock with the built in ones. Easy to weave and store. No complaints at all

Added Security
We throw this on after a ride and before going in somewhere to eat. Its a great extra security to keep thieves away. In addition we use it once we're at camp to secure our bikes when we go for a hike. having them keyed alike to our rack makes having the right key easier!

I would buy this product again.
My previous rack was a rooftop which required front wheel removal. A new vehicle ( Ford F-150 pickup) required a new rack (hitch).

Key'em alike for easy unlocking
The cable lock is easy to use and we keep it in the back seat of the car for easy install when traveling. A quick stop somewhere and this cable lock keeps it simple to secure your expensive bikes while making that run into the local merchants place. Having it keyed alike is the best feature. Less Keys needed!!!

Lock Saris Bones 3 in Prius and leave rack mounted to car.
I loop the cable to the saris bones cylinder and attach the other end with the lock at the bottom of prius car's tow eye.

I have a saris rack that has the built in cable on either side which meet at a locking mechanism in the center of the hitch. Would the locking piece on this cable be compatible with the setup? I just find the cable on the rack short to cover all wheels.
