Description

Stifling in sweat isn't an option.

There's nothing pleasant about embarking on a spirited ride under the searing heat and oppressive humidity of summer's hottest months while wearing a jersey better suited for fall. Combating the stifling, sweat-soaked sensation inherent to traditional jerseys on these very rides, the Santini Men's AirForm 2.0 Jersey actively cools your core as you train through skyrocketing temperatures. Taking breathability to new realms, the AirForm's lightweight mesh dissipates heat and excess perspiration as you push at an unrelenting pace through draining heat. As a final touch, its full-length zipper further enhances ventilation, which is especially useful during uphill slogs and high-cadence efforts.

  • A lightweight jersey designed for summertime heat
  • Light, breathable fabrics wick moisture for cool comfort
  • Full-length zipper adds extra ventilation
  • Relaxed fit leaves room to move without constriction
  • Three rear pockets store ride nutrition and other small essentials

chaffing

  • Fit: True to size

I love my other Santini jerseys, so I jumped at this when it was available at a substantial discount. It's perforated-style material is very different from the silky-feel of my other Santini's, and it's a looser cut. I wore it with no issues on a couple of easy local spins (recovery pace). But this past weekend I wore it on our faster Sunday spin (https://www.strava.com/activities/1199490105 ). It's still hot and very humid here in Florida, and within 20 miles I had an issue with chaffing to the point where my nipples were starting to bleed, so I finished the ride with the jersey fully unzipped. The combination of the material, the relaxed cut, and the humidity makes this a no-go for me. I may still use it on easy spins, or with a base layer, but I'll be very cautious about this jersey in the future.
