The Santa Cruz Tallboy Carbon C R Mountain Bike doesn't care if we're taking it cross-country racing one weekend and throwing it on a lift the next, it just goes. This fully capable machine uses Santa Cruz's virtual pivot point suspension for a supple ride that doesn't soak up our leg power. The bike utilizes 120mm of rear suspension that can be adjusted via a flip-chip to get it ready for any type of riding. The Tallboy comes with everything we need for a trail-ready bike that's ready to take on the world and any gnarly trail around.

The highly capable Santa Cruz Tallboy comes with geometry to give it that all-encompassing high mileage and high fun feel. The bike comes stock with a super slacked-out 66.5-degree head-tube angle but with its nice and steep 76.6-degree(size M) seat-tube angle still creates an enjoyable uphill pedaler. The long 1187mm wheelbase in size medium pairs well to the 29in wheels and VPP suspension, giving us a machine that hooks up and rides over just about anything. The Santa Cruz Tallboy utilizes modern numbers and a robust carbon frame to have us getting PR's on everything from our local loop to brand new trail we only have time for on the weekends.

Kit on the Carbon C R version of the build impresses us with suspension that's built to last and a drivetrain that's designed to get us up and over anything. Fox suspension is specced on the frame, allowing for the supple and smooth Fox Float DPS in the rear to take on keeping the rear planted and the Fox Fork to handle the first big hits. SRAM's Eagle drivetrain offers an impressive amount of range for getting us through everything from the super-steep climbs out west to the fast and flowy trail systems out east.

The all-new Santa Cruz tallboy is set to impress from the start. VPP suspension linkage offers maximum performance on chundery terrain but doesn't shy away from a day at the jump park. The Santa Cruz finishing kit on the bike means plenty of capable and durable components that we won't be worrying about anytime soon. Maxxis Rubber finishes off the build with the Tubeless tires able to slay lines on any terrain and keep us moving quickly.
