The Santa Cruz Nomad slots in as the most gravity-oriented bike in their range other than their dedicated downhill race bike. The 6th iteration of the Nomad gets a mixed-wheel setup, maintaining its playful freeride capability thanks to the 27.5-inch rear wheel and adding massive amounts of rollover ability with a 29-inch front wheel. 170mm of VPP rear travel is supportive enough to carry us through burley lines and big features, plus Santa Cruz revamped the leverage curve for lower anti-squat level to limit harshness from square-edge impacts. Resembling geometry numbers of downhill bikes, the 63.5-degree headtube angle (low position) ensures an impressive amount of stability at speed, while the steep seat tube angle and supportive VPP suspension allow for efficient pedaling on long stage transfers.

The Nomad Carbon CC X01 Eagle Coil kit holds almost nothing back in terms of build specs. The frame is built from the ultra-light, ultra-strong Carbon CC layup for the ultimate combination of torsional stiffness and flexibility, creating an unbeatably responsive ride feel. The SRAM X01 Eagle 12-speed drivetrain handles the shifting duties with precision, while a set of Code RSC brakes gives us the speed modulation we need to tackle big lines with confidence. A 170mm Fox Factory 38 fork is paired to a Fox Float DHX2 Factory coil shock for a plush ride feel that absorbs trail chatter and ensures plenty of traction in loose corners. And as a cherry on top, a pair of Race Face ARC Offset 30 rims get laced up to Industry Nine 1/1 hubs for quick acceleration and added vibration damping.
