The Heckler 29 Carbon GX Eagle AXS e-Bike lets us rack up the miles with confidence to handle jagged slickrock ridges and ultra-techy routes in high-elevation terrain. This Heckler build boasts 29in wheels front and rear, providing enhanced rollover ability that makes a huge difference when navigating untamed trails in remote areas. 150mm of VPP suspension travel paired with a modern-yet-manageable 64.5-degree head tube angle positions the Heckler squarely within the all-mountain category. It has plenty of pop for a zesty ride-feel on rolling trails yet enough travel to push pace on steep, technical terrain as well.

The 720Wh battery turns this capable steed into our own personal chairlift with significantly more range than the previous model, plus the Eco, Trail, and Boost modes let us manage our battery range. The frame now boasts flip-chip geometry adjustment and coil shock compatibility, and this particular build benefits from the mid-tier Carbon C frame construction from Santa Cruz. SRAM’s GX Eagle AXS electronic shifter and derailleur provide instantaneous shifting, while a 160mm Fox Performance Elite 36 Fork lets us dissect technical rock rolls with ease. Burly Race Face ARC 30 wheels provide bomber durability without breaking the bank, while Industry Nine hubs offer instant engagement.
