Awesome rack

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Replaced an older Kuat NV 1st gen. This rack is lighter but has solid quality construction. Bike clamps solid with little to no wobble. The tilt lever is way more ergonomic compared to reaching between bikes to pull the Kuat lever. The cable lock is a separate piece vs the integrated Kuat solution but the Kuat locks are terrible and can be raked open in 2 seconds. Factor in the lower cost and the Rockymounts is a clear winner.

Great rack and great price

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I really like this rack. Assembly was easy took 15-20 minutes at most and is easy to install on your vehicle. I like that the hitch pin screw's in it makes the rack very stable. I'd give it a 5 star if the provided locks were metal. The casing is plastic and seems like it would be super easy to break. They sell metal locks which I purchased on the Rockymounts website. The locks are only $2.00 more each then the plastic locks. I wish they would raise the price $10 and provide the metal locks instead of the cheap plastic ones. If you buy one of these racks which I do recommend plan on buying 2 more metal locks at $20 a piece.

Top performer for the price

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I have a Kuat NV 2 and got this for another vehicle and was surprised at how nice it was. If you want to save some money over higher end ones this is a good option. It does not have an integrated lock thought

Solid!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

For the price, this rack is extremely well built, and has some great features. I love the easily accessible tilt handle and the solid way it "clicks" into place. I added a $10 hitch tightener to help stabilize the up/down movement, and have full confidence in this rack for long trips. So far I haven't scraped it on anything, and am happy with the high positioning of the bikes. The lock mechanism is a little finicky, but seems as secure as what the other brands offer. The black finish and appearance of this rack looks great for the price point. Overall, I'm super pleased and highly recommend.

Nice Rack!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

We have used this rack several times now and are very pleased. The Rocky Mounts Monorail is aesthetically pleasing, easy to build/install, easy to load/unload, and very solid/stable. We have had two 29er mountain bikes on the rack at highway speeds of 80+ and on rough country roads with no issues in either scenario.
