Easy, buddy.

You've been working on training your bike to self-soothe in moments of separation anxiety, but unfortunately the problem hasn't been completely solved yet. Use the RockyMounts Ramone Key Cable Lock to keep your bike from following you into the store when you run a mid-ride errand. The flexible cable is strong enough to keep the bike in place, while a rubber coating comforts it (and protects the frame). Fully integrated lock ends meet in a spring-loaded catch that lets you know that the lock is secure. RockyMounts included three keys, just in case, and added a dust shutter so the lock will be clear even if your bike got restless waiting for you.
  • Cable lock for short, mid-ride errands
  • Flexible cable for a customized configuration
  • Rubber coating protects your bike frame
  • Seat-post mount for easy storage
  • Self-coiling design packs up easily
  • Dust shutter seals off the lock
  • 3 dimple keys ensure you have a spare

Lock mechanism broke after 1mo light use

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I liked the product initially. However, the key started getting stuck while inserted. I could usually get it out after a minute or so of wiggling.. Today it wouldn’t free up, so I sprayed some bike lube on it hoping that would free up the key. Surprisingly, the whole lock mechanism came out! So the cable is useless now. At least i didn’t have to cut it off my bike. For reference, it was only in my garage providing some extra security on my new bike. Never out on the trail or in the weather.

Light Weight and Convenient

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Pretty much all you want in a cable lock. Has a handy feature where you can take the open lock, and lock it without the key inserted. Handy when you are balancing your bike on a rack.
