RockyMounts LoBall Track Locking Truck Mount $69.95
Solid and secure.
The RockyMounts LoBall Track Locking Truck Mount solidly secures one bike equipped with a 9mm quick-release front axle to your truck bed. The LoBall Track Mount is compatible with slotted channels found on Chevrolet, GMC, Nissan, and Toyota beds. It also mounts to the tracks on your truck bed's sidewall, should you desire a sideways carrying mount. As a cool bonus, the LoBall Track Mount works with uni-strut channels commonly found at hardware stores for a DIY customizable configuration.
The mount features a stainless steel skewer for strength and corrosion-resistant use, with a UV-resistant locking nylon handle and cast aluminum base. It comes with all the appropriate mounting hardware, installation wrench, and two lock keys. Not only does it lock your front fork to the mount itself with its locking skewer, but it also secures to the truck bed with unique Torx bolts. These bolts require the included installation wrench for removal, so a thief can't just unscrew the mount and take off with your bike. And for added peace of mind, the mount's large opening allows you to thread through a cable-style lock for deterring theft of your frame.

Best way to transport my bikes
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I only write reviews when a product either exceeds or fails to meet my expectations. This lockable cleat is one of the former, which I've found to be an excellent fit in my Nissan Frontier's bedrail system. Solid and immovable when installed, easy to set up, and with a secure locking mechanism. I was initially curious how secure the fit would be since it claims to fit Nissan, Toyota, and GM bedrail systems (which use different sizes) but found that the steel tabs which run in the rails are rectangular and precisely machined to fit vertically in my Nissan and horizontally in the toyota (I don't know about the GM configuration). A simple and effective means of customizing the fit to these different rail sizes.
No additional hardware was needed. Everything was provided with the cleat to install the cleat and go.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I've used the the RockyMounts TieRod on our fast ca for the last 5 years and developed a comfort level with having our road and gravel bikes strapped to the roof. We were looking for the same type of security and ease of use with our 2011 Toyota Tacoma as well as the convenience of shared keys. The LowBall didn't disappoint in the slightest. Setup in the bed-rails was massively easy taking about 2-3 minutes per rack (i purchased four) and we were off on a road trip bananas fast.
