Lock On Grips
Having developed grips for motorsports over many years, Renthal knows a thing or two about making sure they can both keep you in control, and keep in place. After all, the force of a 300-pound moto landing off of a 50-foot gap is far greater than any mountain bike grip, or rider, will ever have to endure. With all that experience, Renthal crafts its Lock On Grips with CNC-machined aluminum ends that are integrated into — not merely clipped onto — the grips' inner sleeve. Also understanding that different riders have different needs, there are four different versions to choose from: Medium, Soft, Super Comfort (which is even softer than Soft), and Kevlar, which is the most expensive, with the grippiness and comfort of the Soft grips and the durability of the Medium grips.

I've used the charcoal ones and the black ones. I wouldn't use the black ones without full finger gloves, really sticky. Must have if you have the bar and stem!

Super comfort

I haven't had a chance to try these yet but i love the option of picking different hardnesses. I went with super soft and they are soft and grippy. I am excited to try them on my dirt jumper gloveless. Seems like they will do the trick

Grips lost Adhesion, White Soft
Disappointed after two hot summer days of riding the grips have come unglued and spin. Would expect much better adhesion from a MX based company. Enjoyed the feel and texture of the white soft, sadly the price doesn't match the quality. Tried the spray paint trick to adhere, no luck. Expensive throw away grips. Just Pedal!

Renthal Family
Recently cracked the end cap of my grips, the bike fell while I was giving it bath (eeeekkk). So I just picked up a fresh pair of the Super Soft compound (white), and it's noticeably softer than the Soft compound (light grey) I had on there previously. Squishy and sticky, dampens the chatter of a rock garden, and keeps your hands in place with a light touch.

Best grips made
I love the Kevlar grips! I had rad them for years riding motocross I have had a set on my bike for 2 years and they are still going strong with very heavy use. If you ride rocky terrain or trails with a lot of breaking bumps these grips will really help reduce arm pump to help you get a few more miles on your ride. Great grips worth every penny!

Get connected.
Whilst waiting for a shuttle in Moab I realized my factory grips were completely shredded and no longer stuck to the handle bar, the end caps had fallen out forever ago. I was told lock-ons were the way to go and with Renthals legacy in Moto, that these were worth a shot. I went with the light grey, soft. The silicone is soft but it's thin so don't expect anything super cushy. The material and texture is ultra grippy and creates strong contact with the bar, even with a light touch on the chattery down hills I feel connected. Give them a shot!

Are lock on grips compatible with carbon bars? Or are they only intended for aluminum bars?
