Turbine Stem

The Turbine Stem appeases the need of cross country racers, but true to Race Face's reputation of overbuilding, this stem can be safely run on an all-mountain bike. To maximize stiffness and minimize weight, Race Face constructs the Turbine from aerospace 7075 aluminum.

This provides the high strength and fatigue resistance at a sub-140-gram weight (90mm), while a four-bolt bar clamp holds the bar securely in position without creating stress risers. To accomplish this, Race Face uses an interlocking, U-shaped faceplate.

Likewise, opposing steerer tube bolts provide extreme clamping power, without damaging the steerer tube. The Turbine has laser-etched logos and comes in multiple lengths from 60mm to 110mm, with two rise options: zero or +\- six degrees. The Race Face Turbine is compatible with 1.125in steerer tubes and 31.8mm handlebars.

Light and strong

I've used it several times

I built up a fat bike, I wanted something light and strong but didn't want to spend the extra cash on a carbon stem. Four bolts will surely hold the bars.

Great Stem for Cyclocross

I've put it through the wringer

Broke the bolts on 2 other stems until I got this one. Light and strong, what more can you ask for, well carbon, but who wants to pay that much for a stem!

Light and Stiff

I've put it through the wringer

One of the best stems available. Machined from aluminum so it's very light, quite stiff, and strong as well.

Looks great, 6 degree fit the bill

I've used it several times

I'm usually a thomson stem fan... Got a new ride and the stock stem and bars didn't get my cockpit right. I'd already cut the steerer on the fork and in measuring and comparing to my other rides, it seemed something between the thomson zero and 10 degree stem offerings would be about perfect. Running turbine cranks so having another turbine logo on the bike seemed fitting. Anyway--its a stem. Finish (machining, anodizing) looks top quality and it functions well and its light enough. I've never had a stem fail--be it a $10 bargain bin find to the more spendy varieties--expecting similar durability on this. This was a pleasant deal being on sale when I bought it.

Whats the bar clamp diameter?

Hi Kevin, this is a 31.8 clamp diameter.

Everything you want, nothing you don't

This stem gets the job done. Great quality milling, fit and finish is superb. Pick your length and be done.

Light, Strong, and Downright Good Lookin

I've put it through the wringer

The Race Face Turbine Stem is a stellar option for a stem. It's sleek, strong (no twisting when cranking on the bars out of the saddle), and downright good looking! I've been a Thomson stem user for over a decade but they did not offer the size I needed so I went with the Race Face. Very happy with this stem.

Great Stem

I've used it several times

I installed this on my wife's bike this winter and she loves it. The shorter stem doesn't require her to reach as far to the bars. reasonable weight. Little to no flex for excellent control.
