The Race Face Turbine R 35 is a 27.5-inch alloy wheelset built around a 35mm internal rim width, making it a purpose-built platform for all-mountain riders running tires in the 2.4 to 2.6 range. Wider rim beds support tire casings more effectively than narrow alternatives, reducing sidewall roll under cornering loads and producing a more consistent, predictable contact patch on variable terrain.

The rim is constructed from 6069 aluminum, the same alloy Race Face uses across their performance wheelset lineup, welded and profiled for stiffness without excess weight. The spoke bed runs 4.5mm of offset, bringing drive-side and non-drive-side tension into closer balance and improving overall wheel stiffness and durability under hard use. Twenty-eight straight-pull, double-butted spokes in a 3-cross lacing pattern complete the build, with silver brass nipples and an external rim width of 38.5mm.

The Vault hub is the performance anchor of the wheelset. High-engagement pawl geometry responds quickly to pedal input, and the sealed internals hold up in the sustained wet and mud exposure that degrades lower-quality hub bearings over time. The wheel ships tubeless-ready with rim tape and valve pre-installed, and rear wheels include five spare spokes.
