A necessary upgrade.

If you've already upgraded to a Race Face Turbine dropper post, your rides will be even smoother with the addition of the 1x Remote. Does this come with bar mount hardware? Photos make it look like it bolts on to a pre-existing mount, but no indication whether hardware is included.

I agree with Blake T.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I thrashed the stock lever within a few months - the metal was super cheap and stripped away quickly. This one has been a great improvement! it's build WAY better and the action is smooth but should it really cost 60 bucks??

Just Feels Right

If you are using a Raceface Turbine lever (or any other dropper with the cable head on the lever side) and running a 1x drivetrain, you NEED to get this lever. Its fantastic. Silk smooth and feels ergonomically right on the thumb. I use my dropper all of the time and this makes it easy. I was previously using a Reverb (button style, not new lever) and this is light years better in terms of ergonomics. It also has a barrel adjuster to dial in the right cable tension.

Give a shout to my direct line 801.204.4547 or email me at if you have any questions on this lever or if you may be wondering if it will work with your current dropper!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love the thumb throw feel so much better with the 1x remote vs the standard lever that comes with the post. feels great. will always but this with the post.

    Better than factory lever

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Much smoother and better functioning than the factory turbine lever, which messes with the cable and ruins it over time. Multiple colors are an added bonus.

    Ergonomically sound

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This lever is the perfect upgrade for your Turbine dropper post. It sits perfectly under the handlebar and is the perfect size. The action is smooth and feels better than the stock lever that comes with the Turbine dropper. Plus they offer them in cool colors.

Necessary Accessory for the Turbine Drop

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Race Face Turbine Dropper Seatpost 1x Remote is a crucial add on to the Turbine dropper seatpost when you are running 1x. The remote that comes with the Race Face Turbine, like all stock dropper post remotes, is mounted independently on the handle bars. The button is hence, on top of the bars. In order to adjust the dropper seatpost, you have to rotate your hand up, basically taking half of it off your grips, to push down on the button with your thumb. The 1X remote sits under the brake lever, right by your thumb. This makes switching your post a breeze. An indirect benefit of this remote is how nicely it's cleans up the handle bar. You are now winning.

If you have any questions about the Race Face Turbine Dropper Seatpost, the 1x remote, or any other mountain bike equipment, feel free to contact me.

    Easy Choice

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It's unbelievable how much better this style of lever is over the original over the bar style. If you don't upgrade to this, you're dumb

    Use this lever!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is the lever that should come with the Turbine dropper post. The stock Race Face lever is pretty bad and is certainly flimsy. This one is not only sturdy, it is much nicer to operate. I am, and will be using this lever with any dropper post from now on.

    Great upgrade!

Grabbed the Turbine Dropper for my Yeti SB6 build and after many recommendations, also grabbed this to make the upgrade to a smoother ride! definitely a great idea and super recommended!

I installed this on my Fox Transfer

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I recently purchased a Pivot Firebird and it came with a Fox Transfer dropper post. The dropper post is decent, about as good as the Rockshox Reverb that I had on my other bike. But the lever that came with the Fox Transfer was incredibly bad in every way! So I purchased this Race Face Dropper lever, with no confirmation that it would work, since there is no list of compatible dropper posts. But I was able to make it work. To make it work, I had to terminate the cable with a "cable end cap", but it worked like a charm! After the installation I can say that it's now the best dropper lever I've ever had on a bike, and I've had at least 8 different kinds.

I installed this on my Fox Transfer

Why did you have to put a cable end cap? Did you not want to install a new cable?

      Hi Ben,

The Fox Transfer is setup to have the "ball" end of the cable connect to the bottom of the post. So the setup requires that you swage the other end to the Fox lever, which completely sucks. Most other dropper posts are the opposite, i.e. the ball end of the cable is at the lever, and the other end of the cable is pinched at the post.

      Unanswered Question

Does this remote work with SRAMs matchmaker system?

Can I use this in my thomson elite dropper post? How to install this, does it comes with handle bar clamp?

No... This Remote is not compatible with the Thomson Elite Dropper post. The post requires the "ball" end of the cable and the Lever also requires the "ball" end of the cable which makes the cable non adjustable for length... I tried on my Thomson Elite Post and it did not work.... The Wolf Tooth Remote Lever is compatible....

      Awesome under bar option

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I got this to relocate the actuation of my KS Lev underneath the handlebar and also to add a bit of bling (got it in purple). The fit and finish of the lever is awesome, it's clearly a high quality product. It comes with a cable, and paired up with my KS perfectly. Lever action is super smooth, and I've found myself using my dropper post more because of it. Would highly recommend to anyone.

      Game changer! Highly recommend

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I installed on an ibis hd3 with kev integra dropper. I used my dropper before but couldn't reach up and over bar on the kev lever once I was in a tight situation. With this lever I am dropping my post more often and without the dangers of hand nearly coming off the bar with the old lever! Best upgrade in a long time. Also the lever is smooth and uses the "spring" tension on your post. Came with lever, extra cable to reroute after cutting your old one and pulling it out. Got the orange one so it reminds me even more to use it since it stands out.

Can it be used with a KS Lev dropper post to replace the KS lev lever?
