XC, DH, and IQ.
It's not every day that engineers crank out a 190 gram carbon fiber seatpost that meets their company's rigorous downhill-level durability standards — that is, unless we're talking about Race Face. The gravity-obsessed Canadian brand has a heart for its cross-country-riding brothers and sisters, too, which is why the Race Face SIXC Seatpost exists — to bridge the gap between XC-light and DH-ready in a post that can do both.
Using a special "leading edge" composite carbon fiber layup, the SIXC post offers amazing impact resistance and has an enormous fatigue threshold. Though not as light as Race Face's feathery Next family of parts, the SIXC also saves a bit of cash while ensuring the same high quality and reliability. The SIXC post also features an ingenious clamping mechanism that allows tilt adjustment and fore/aft adjustment of the saddle independent of one another; five minutes of cursing at most other post clamps these days and you just may value this feature over any other.
The Race Face SIXC Seatpost comes in a carbon fiber finish with Silver/White graphics, and in 30.9mm and 31.6mm diameters, both 350mm in length. It's only compatible with I-Beam saddles, not saddles with traditional rails.
