I wasn't impressed
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I guess b/c I used these on aluminum cranks I had bad luck. These things corroded the ends of my cranks. Not to the point of failure, but enough to be very noticeable.
Cheap Protection
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Crank Boots are way cheaper than a set of carbon cranks so it's a no brainer! Super easy to install and they're barely noticeable. Keep your resell value up with a set of these boots.
Simple Must Have
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
A simple must have! These boots keep your crank protected from rocks and other sharp objects.
Protect Ya Neck!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Cheap and easy way to help protect those fancy carbon cranks that you spent all your lunch money on. Slips right on to X0 and TruVativ cranks too! Also comes in a bunch of different colors so you can match the rest of the bling on your ride!
Booty Booty Booty

I have a set of Next SL G4's on my single speed. They are a beautiful crank and incredibly lightweight. I always try to run crank boots, even on alloy cranks. after a season of bashing my cranks on rocks and other trail obstacles, I love the fact that I can just install a fresh pair for $10 and my cranks are back to looking fantastic. That's a lot cheaper than a new set of cranks.
Easy Easy Easy

Can't go wrong. Super cheap, fairly durable, and keeps everything lookin good. Grab some!
Will these work with RaceFace Turbine cranks?
so is it known that these don't work on sram xo eagle with the Race Face Atlas flat pedals? This pedal has almost no gap to crank arm face and it's less gap than the thickness of the boot. Feeling either idiotic for missiing something but posting so others can be sure not to make same mistake. It's either a proprietary issue with pedal mount to crank or what? My Time Atac for example would be just fine because their pedal axle mounting facing is smaller diameter than the hole in the boot. I'd cut the boot but that will make it more susceptible to being torn off. :/
Next SL / Six C
works for Sram XO and Descendants Carbon cranks!
Crank Booty

My cranks were getting all dinged up. But now I have this and no one can tell!
Easy Install, Peace of Mind
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
These booties are super easy to install and will give you some peace of mind when your pedal stroke isn't quit timed right and you are scraping plastic off instead of carbon.
Protection for those Carbon cranks
Work great and saves the bottom of your cranks from those nasty rock hits.
Everyone needs a little booty
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
These crank booty's are great. Should have bought previous years before I beat my old cranks so bad
Great!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I rigged up my Mach 5.5 with the Sixc crankset and wasted no time putting these crank boots on to keep my rig safe from the inevitable pedal check or two.
buy them first
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Easy to throw on, I should have put them on before the first ride on our bikes. Would have saved the ugly nicks.
I have the Easton Sl Carbon Cranks on my 1x drive train for my trail bike. Does anyone know which fit, the Next Sl or G4 would best fit my cranks? Thanks!
They work
They work. Better than hearing your crank arm grind agains rocks.
Hulk Smash!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
A must have if you're running a carbon crank, or even if you're not. These gems have been slapped around from rock face to rock face all over Utah, and always come back for more. The best part is taking them off, and seeing my crank completely unharmed!
Easy to install for some more protection
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I had these recommended to me by a friend and I'm glad that I got them! They were super easy to install and they have already saved me on a couple pedal strikes! Can't go wrong with these booties!
G4 boots very cheap - just don't protect
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
The G4 boots shred through (and often become dislodged / flop around) almost immediately upon any pedal strike. The boots are also hard to find online. I've been through three pairs of boots in one year and would have used three more if I hadn't been trying to save the extortion money. Like another reviewer, I contacted RF directly. They have improved the toughness slightly but they have a long way to go. I can't understand why RF would taint an otherwise great product with this poor accessory. My one year old $400 carbon crank arms look more like two or three year olds. Have your electrical tape ready to reinforce these things and get a few extra hours out of them.
Does it work with Next R?
