Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I like this set up alot. I have two 650B+ bikes with 3" tires, but I also have road, a niner, and a 24" junior cx bike. They all fit securely and with ease. (Dropper posts make full loads extra simple). I never fear the attachment of the bikes, though I am not extremely rough regarding terrain, it is a small sedan. The tilt feature is relatively simple to access and provides good access to the trunk. I am using this with a 1 1/4" hitch. It is heavy enough to discourage frequent removal or cross-vehicle transfer. The locking cable mechanism that integrates into the arms is convenient for relatively safe and quick stops, but would be extremely easy to defeat otherwise. After 9 months and through a Denver winter, it is in very good shape still. It does have a high amount of plastic, but the paint on the metal is very much intact to this point. It is gentle on all of the bikes, contacting the wheels only and maybe a front rim brake.
