Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have owned a lot of winter tights and this pair may rank as the best. I purchased a medium which is the size I always order in Castelli and the fit is great. Castelli does run small so if you have never owned a pair size up. The wind panels do a very nice job of keeping the wind out and the fabric does an amazing job of keeping me warm and moving moisture. The zips at the bottom of the legs are the perfect length for ease of getting the tights on and off. Like all winter tights you need to be patient when you put them on, don't pull from the top--you need to work them on and off. Many of the winter tights I have owned in the past are to heavy to thick and they almost impede your movement on the bike , not these they feel terrific! This is clearly a winter tight for cold not cool weather. I was out the other day and the temps here in Chicago were in the low 20"s. I rode for just over 2 hours on the road and was super comfy start to finish. If you're looking for a nice fitting, really comfortable winter riding tight that is a real performer---this is the ticket!

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have owned more than a few pair of cycling shoes over the years. I mainly purchase Sidi shoes for road and a pair of mountain shoes for cross. I generally buy my shoes to small, maybe because I want them to fit like skates or ski boots. Whatever the case may be I usually purchase them in a size 43, I purchased this pair in a 44 and they are super comfy! So in terms of size they probably run a little to the small side. They look great and fit great, I am using them for a Peloton bike I just purchased but will take them outside when the weather breaks. As I said, this is a terrific pair of shoes---they look great, fit great and have just the right amount of features without going over the top. They come with a really nice sock liner that puts Sidi to shame---Really Sidi, you are charging us way north of $200.00 for a pair of cycling shoes and thats the best you can do for sock liners?? I have seen more substantial sock liners in my daughters Keds!!! If you're
looking for a new pair of bike kicks add these to your list, you will not be disappointed. I purchased dark shadow/flame!

I have owned a couple of warm weather base layer pieces from Castelli, but this one is far and away the best! Mush more comfortable then older versions with more stretch and a much lighter feel--like you don't even notice its on. Great wicking and keeps you nice and cool on hot summer days. Needs to fit snug in order to work properly.
