Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been wearing these gloves for years. I find them to be the most comfortable gloves I've worn in my 30+ years of cycling. Just the right amount of padding, good fit (they run small, as do most Castelli products), good terry wipe. That's the obvious good. The bad is what you'll read in other reviews...for some reason, these aren't the most durable gloves (which is why they only get 4 stars). You'll start to see wear, fraying edges, etc. probably within a month or two of wearing them. It doesn't seem to cause any problems with performance, they just look like hell. I bought two pair this time for just that reason; I know I'll have a backup pair once the first one gets too ratty. But I feel their comfort outweighs their durability issues, so I keep buying them.

I was a little heistant to order these bibs due to the reviews I read here. I'm 6' 3", 195 lbs with a long torso and was afraid even the XXL's would be too small. But the price was right and I love Capo's stuff, so I decided to give them a try. When I received them and tried them on, the straps were indeed very snug. But I LOVED the feel of the leg grippers (so much better than elastic grippers on other bibs/shorts), so I figured I would wear them on a ride. Once you're on the bike, the tightness in the straps disappear (similar to how my Giordana FRC bibs fit/feel). I guess the shape of the bib is designed to mimic your body's position in the saddle, so trying to judge fit off of the bike isn't fair. The chamois has been very comfortable on my 2-3 hour rides (I can't imagine they wouldn't feel great on longer rides) and did I mention how great those leg grippers are!!! I would recommended these bibs, but make sure to order at least 1 if not 2 sizes larger.
