I bought this bike for my wife, who wants to get into cycling with me. She is very petite, so we had to find a bike with no more than 27" standover height, and we decided on this model in XS.

Out of the box I was surprised to find that, counter to the product description, this bike has 650C wheels front AND rear. Now, I don't see this is a drawback (in fact, I prefer it), but the product description should give the correct wheel size.

Apart from that, the bike arrived in good order and required next to no tweaking upon assembly. We haven't done any serious miles yet as she is still getting comfortable with the strapless pedals and shifting and so on, but it appears to be working fine. The component set is a great value for the money, the frame welds are clean and solid looking, and despite the different wheel size the fit dimensions are spot on and it fits her very well.

A potential problem down the road is that, with the smaller rear wheel they overall gearing is lowered. I think a bike with a 650 rear wheel should come with larger chainrings.

I just bought a pair of these--450 grams for a pair in size 45, 540 grams with cleats installed. More than 300 grams lighter than my Sidi Ergo 2s. Should be ideal for the South Florida heat and humidity. Sizing is a little odd--these make a nice snug fit on me in size 45 (no thick socks), compared to 46 in Sidis. Fit like slippers, and my heels are held firmly in place. Much more secure than the Garneau x-lite carbons, and much lighter too.

I had a similar shoe, the R310, and I loved the comfort, stiffness, weight, and the special anti-slip fabric in the heel. All super. I just don't know why Shimano can't put replaceable heel pads on these things. Mine wore through in the heels long before the rest of the shoe would have been shot. I could have enjoyed them for three years or so rather than 14 months. I won't spring for a high end Shimano shoe again until they address that issue.

I have owned many different bibs and shorts, including just about everything Voler makes. I currently have one pair of Desoto 400 bibs, one pair of Assos Mille bibs, and four pairs of Sugoi RS bibs.

The Sugois are the best fitting and feel best on long rides for me. I'm 5'10 and 190 pounds with a 34 inch waist and the size large fits me like tailor made. I ride 200+ miles a week year-round, and these are my bibs of choice.
