The fit, compression, and length of the leg make these a great purchase. I am 6'6", so, it is hard to find a bib that fits well. The fit through the torso and the leg length are exceptional. I can see how some people might find these bibs to be too long, but, not me. Also, the pad is very comfortable. Have used them 4 times in a two week period and really enjoy them.

I've worn this a few times since purchasing. Temperatures have ranged from 30-55 degrees and it has performed well, with varying types of base layers. I would imagine you could go lower with the appropriate base layers. On the 30 degree day, I paired with a Pearl Izumi transfer long-sleeve base layer and was fine. When it got to 55, I simply wore a SS Castelli base layer. In both instances, I was sweating at times, but, stayed warm enough on descents.

I also have the Alpha Ros Jacket, which is almost the same design (internal vest, etc.). The jersey is a good complement to the jacket when it gets a little bit warmer. I am usually a Large in most street clothes, but, the XXL is the perfect fit. Snug, but, enough room for a base layer or two, if needed.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The first thing that I will say about these bibs is that they fit great. I have trouble finding properly fitting bibs at my height/weight, but, these fit perfectly snug. I purchased these anticipating they would protect me in true Northeast winter temps. The first ride I used them on was about 30F, with a bit of a wind chill. I should've known by mile 2 that it was time to turn around and change. Unfortunately, I didn't and suffered. Although my lower legs were warm enough, it literally felt like there was non-existent fabric in the groin region. As you can imagine, this lead to a very unpleasant ride.

I kept the bibs because I bought them at a great price and the fit is amazing. Hopefully they will do much better as a shoulder season piece. I would imagine that they would be good between 45-55F.

I bought this as I wanted something that fit tighter than most traditional winter jackets. I almost always struggle with sizing, but, this is a nice, tight fit and allows for a base layer or two, without being baggy. I've only used once in 25-27 degree weather with a Castelli Flanders base layer and found that I was warm throughout my ride. The jackets seems to breath pretty well, but, my base layer was certainly wet by the end of my ride. The bright orange is a nice contrast to most of my gear and hopefully makes me more visible while riding.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a perfect shoulder season piece. I prefer to wear this with arm warmers on cooler mornings, rather than a jacket. Comfortable, but, tight fit. The tail of this jacket provides great coverage for taller riders. I'm 6'6" and don't have any sizing issues. Probably one of the most versatile pieces that I own. Comfortable between 40-60 degrees, if paired with proper arm warmers, etc.

Very comfortable pair of bibs. These have become my go-to pair for everyday riding. Whether short commutes or long rides, these hold up well. Sizing is a little tough, but, the XXL fit well enough. The compression wasn't as tight as I wanted, but, I got the extra length on the straps by going with the XXL. Overall, it's a pretty good fit compared to most. Being a tall rider, I don't have the easiest time finding the right fit, but, these work very well for me.

This is a great in-between seasons piece. On colder mornings in the fall, it can be paired with arm warmers and is perfect. Hard to pass up at the sale price. Haven't worn in inclement weather yet, but, would imagine it holds up pretty well based upon the material. I usually end up in a XXL for most brands, but, this runs a bit larger. Fit is snug, but, not painted on. As a tall rider, i appreciate the extended tail on the jacket. Provides great rear cover.
