Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After all the great reviews I figured I’d take a shot. After all, with CC’s great return policy, what’s to lose .
After cycling 10k miles/yr for the past decade I can honestly say I love this shoe. Permit fit! Normally I buy 43, but the 42.5 was priced lower by 100bucks, so I gave it a shot fits perfectly!! Feels like a slipper. That comfy! Ez to adjust on the fly. The insole has a small step under the metatarsal, so I don’t need my customized insoles to avoid burning sensation after 3hrs. Love these shoes.

After reading reviews of the R3B, I became interested. CC had a deal going so I bit the bullet. They arrived last night, I installed a pair of my Speedplay Zero's and did the 50 mile test run. BEST shoe I've ever ridden in. I'm not a racer, but I've averaged 10K miles/yr for nearly the past decade, so function and comfort are really important to me. The shoe is totally comfortable. I normally wear a 43, but some reviewers said or ran a tad large, so I got the 42.5 and it's perfect on me. The upper provides excellent ventilation. The carbon sole insures energy gets efficiently to the pedals. A little thing which I like is the insole has a slight buildup under the metatarsal. I've had to use a metatarsal button on my other insoles, so I'm hoping this insole eliminates that need. No burning or numbness today. One reviewer said he liked these so much that he'd like Fizik to make him a dress shoe. After 3 hrs in these I understand why he said that.

Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've used the original Gore Tool jacket since 2010. Got clipped by a car last February and the jacket got torn. Thus, I decided to buy the Fusion Tool SO. Not as warm as original Gore Tool jacket but pretty close. Zips seem to work better, and I like the tethered sunglass cleaning cloth in the chest pocket. Steeper angled rear pockets with the added zips are cool. It gets chilly during the winters here in the Northeast US, so I'll probably have to add some clothing to my core & arms to equal the comfort of the original Tool jacket. Overall I'm happy I bought it.
......a few days later.....I've worn this jacket on 2 more rides and really like it, BUT it just continues to feel a size too large, and thus chillier in 30° temps than I would expect. Other reviewers complained it ran too small, so I am a bit perplexed.
Anyway, I finally decided to look into an exchange, and the fine folks at CC came thru in flying colors. What a great place to do business! Thanks guys!
Looking fw to getting it in small.

At 67 I don't use the 'awesome' word much, but in this case it is warranted. 1st ride today in CT's "lovely" Dec. weather. 50 miles, 37 deg's (25 w/ the wind chill). Pit-zips & the chest pocket are great for venting. I was completely comfy with just a baselayer. The free gloves seem pretty good too. Wore a pair of polypro liners and no frozen digits.

After reading all the complaints I still bought these. Figured how can u go wrong for the $11? Wellllll....being wary I pumped up the first one, hung it in the garage and it was flat when I returned 3 hrs later. Undaunted, I pumped up the 2nd one - almost. I heard the "ker-pow" after 5-6 pumps. Threw the remainder in the trash. 1st disappointment ever from Bonktown.
