Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This device has a ton of features; I really like the ability to receive txt while riding. There are enough problems with the device to make me not recommend. A few major problems are the ascent/descent data and unpairing with the phone and ant+ devices when stopped for an extended period. The ascent data are totally inaccurate which drives me crazy because I like to know how much I've climbed. The ascent/descent data have to be corrected via another program such as strava. This is fine for the record keeping but not fine when out on a ride and wanting to know how much you've climbed.
I like being able to see txts while riding and having my wife use the tracking feature for both planning busy lives and for safety reasons. When the device unpairs from the phone both features are of course disabled.
My friend has also had the same problems with his device as well as others such as not picking up the start of an entered route. It is enough that I have contacted the warranty department of lezyne. If they could fix these problems then that would be great but I am not all that hopeful and may end up going with a wahoo.
