I first moved to SLC in December of 2012 from Idaho. I followed my brother Utah and blindly bought a season pass to Snowbird without ever actually riding there. Two years later I still am riding at snowbird, as well as touring the Wasatch. I am a competitive snowboarder with a dream of qualifying for the Freeride World Tour. I've been snowboarding since I could walk, and plan to continue riding as long as possible.
Aside from snowboarding I enjoy hiking, camping, climbing, and just about anything else in the mountains.
I am a gear head here at Backcountry, feel free to reach out to me with any questions/comments/concerns. I can be reached at email@example.com I'd be happy to help you!
I absolutely love my Hydro Flask, I take it absolutely everywhere and constantly use it around the house. It's extremely efficient to always have cold water around so you don't have to dirty a glass. The only downside is that they will dent if you are rough on them.
These socks are incredibly soft yet they are completely breathable yet they are still fairly think. I wear a women's 7 and the small is a bit big on me but it doesn't stop me from regularly wearing them.
I purchased these for my girlfriends and she absolutely loves them. We don't run however she wears them on shorter hikes and out to walk the dog ever day. They are extremely comfortable yet supportive.
GoPro makes an awesome camera, unfortunately it dies excessively fast sometimes regardless of use. Having 2-3 batteries makes a life a lot easier. Especially if you want o use the camera multiple days in a row without being around electricity.
This is a great water bottle for hiking, backpacking, touring or really any time space and weight is limited. I've had great luck with these and am yet to have one leak or break. The only downfall to these is that they are difficult and take a long time to dry after washing.
Like myself, my mom is not much of a runner. That being said these are some of her favorite shoes. They are very comfortable as well as supportive. She takes them on smaller hikes and walks, they work great as a regular tennis shoe for those who aren't extreme trail runners.
