Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I’ll start by saying that for all but new style full size trucks I think that this is the best designed tailgate pad out. The notches for bikes are perfect for quickly and easily keeping bikes in place and the soft material on the underside of the pad is great for not scratching your truck. However, I’ve had two of them now and they seem to completely fall apart after about two seasons. The black quickly fades to grey within the first year and then the fabric/straps starts to deteriorate the second. I do tend to leave the pad on all summer long but still I think it should hold up better than that. Secondly, if you have a newer generation full size truck with a thicker tailgate this pad fits very awkwardly. I’m going to give the Dakine DLX a try this time around and see how that goes. Raceface needs a redesign with some longer lasting materials and a thicker top pad for modern tailgates and they’ll have a 5 star product. Just my two cents.

I love these helmets, I've had a few of them now. They look cool, fit well and most importantly keep you safe! I have the Bell Full-9 now too (which is a $400) helmet and it may be a touch lighter but I honestly don't think it's any better than the Disciple. I'd say if you're looking for a full face and find a color you like in the Giro Disciple, get one!

This pump is awesome, a total game changer. We dirt bike and mountain bike and the only pressure we need to go up to is 30 so why have a pump that goes up to 120 and makes it difficult to dial in your pressures. You can dial in you tires pressures exactly how you want them. The only negatives I would say is that the pump is quite large if you are always going to have one in your vehicle and that the camo is a bit obnoxious, I wish they would also make a black one. But for mountain biking this pump is the best out.

I have tried on quite a few different pairs of knee pads over the years and keep coming back to these. For shuttling and days at the bike park these are great. They fit very well and don't cost a fortune. I would say if you do a lot of pedaling wearing knee pads I would look for a pair that is a bit lighter and more breathable but for shuttles and days on the chair lift these are great.

This is a great duffel, especially for the price. Is at as nice as it's north face and patagonia counterparts.. no, but it also costs significantly less. I use it as my main bag for my bike gear in the summer and for my ski/snowboard gear in the winter. It's very waterproof and is the perfect size for my needs. As a travel bag i would probably want something with a few more compartments. 5 stars for what it is.

I've really enjoyed this bag as a carry all for my summer and winter gear. I generally leave it in the backseat of my truck with ski stuff for the winter and bike stuff in the warmer months. It has held up well and still looks very nice after about a year. Not many frills to this bag and the Patagonia and North Face equivalents are certainly nicer but hey it's a bag, and it carries your stuff. If you are looking for a bag to travel with I may look for a slightly nicer offering.

For the price these pedals are fantastic. They grip like to other and weigh very little. You can spend a lot more on nicer looking fancy pedals but for under $50 you can't beat the grip that these offer. The look is kind of take it or leave it and more expensive pedals do look nicer but all in all a great value. Have not tried the raceface chesters but I reckon those are a viable alternative as well.

I love this helmet. I have owned Giro Cipher helmets for years and really have enjoyed those and for the price I think they are the best helmet out. However, if you 're willing to spend an extra $100 or so I think that this helmet is well worth it. It is lighter than the cipher and the matte black color looks super sleek. It vents very well and I often forget that I'm wearing it. 5 stars all around.

Love this pump! The gauge only goes to 50 so you can dial in your pressures just right. Seems to be built like a tank and air hose connections and pressure release valve are very nice. Only drawback is that it only comes in this camo color and is a little on the large side but as far as I know there's no other pump like it. If you mountain bike for reals you should def get this pump.

I got this tire in hopes of helping my DH bike roll a bit faster in the bike park. I had magic marys on it which tend to roll very slow in the hardpack so I left one up front and this on the rear and it definitely improved rolling resistance. I was a little nervous at first putting it on because I didn't think that it would brake well but I was surprised at how well it stopped and cornered . After having this and a magic mary on for most of the season I think it's a great combo but will likely be switching back to a Maxxis DHF/DHR combo because even though this is a semi-slick, with the magic mary on the front I still think that the DHF/DHR rolls faster. I also imagine that this would be a great tire if you do a lot of riding down in Moab. Anyways, my 2 cents.

I've had to use these a few times now and I am always surprised at how well they work. At one time on my Nomad I had three in one tire and one in the other and my bike continued to hold air for a couple of months. Great for situations where you have a small puncture and rather than take off your tire and put a tube in you can often put a plug in, pump up the tire with CO2, and you're ready to ride again without losing your tubeless set up/having to buy a new tire.

For the price this bag is great. I use it in the summer to keep all of my bike gear in one place and in the winter for my ski and snowboard gear. It's nice just grabbing one bag with all of my stuff in it when heading out for the day and also helps me to forget less. I will say that the north face base camp duffel is a nicer bag but it also comes in at 2-3 times the price so for the $$ I think this bag is great.
