Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are the softest wheels on Earth. I'm 155 lbs and these are my second set. The first pair came with a small dent in them when it was brand new. Backountry was awesome and sent me another set. Rode the new set a couple of times around the local trails which are considered smooth as a baby's butt and all is good I thought. Running Hans damph front n rear at 21psi rear n 19 psi front. Was about to go to a real backcountry mtn trail over the weekend so I always do a bike check. Low and behold it's dented again. Where the dent is is not even a scratch or a ding or something that would tell you major impact. I should of known after the first set came dented. So I put on my old set of stans flow ex that I replaced by buying these. They have scratches here and there and I'll admit I've hit rocks and think they're done for but always got me home. Plenty of scratches and scrapes but not a single dent. These Mercury are dented enough that one is would be wary of them having a major burp at any moment. Gonna see what backcountry can do for me but I do not recommend these. I was actually about to purchase the 27.5 version for my other bike but no way am I going to now. Hope this review helps. Btw I took the old Stan's to a rocky ass trail in the GWNF and was rock smashing all day this past Sunday and not a single dent still. These are truly soft ass wheels.

They do not run small as far as the waist and the shorts is concern. I think what people are referring to when they said it run small is the crotch is a bit shallow especially when wearing a liner underneath. I took it to my drycleaner and my number 1 seamstress in the world analyzed the crap out of it and crotch would be better served with an extra inch. Hence the 4 stars rating
