Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are nice liner shorts with a comfortable chamois pad. I don’t have anything to compare them to but the rubber elastic “threads” that make up the highly breathable mesh fabric did start to break and shred and hang about the insides of the shorts at about the 2000 mile mark. I still use these regularly despite the obvious deteriorating mesh and they still function perfectly. No rips or tears in the fabric or seams. Definitley worth the price IMO.

I’ve had this light for just over a month. It works fine. Went to charge it for the first time last week and the cover to the charge port broke off when I opened it. It is a molded hard plastic cover so the “hinge” is just an indentation in the plastic. Well... when I popped it open to access the charge port it just snapped, like you’d imagine a hard piece of plastic with a deep indentation would after bending it. Maybe I got a dud or maybe its a pretty bad design flaw. While the cover still friction fits over the charge port, if and when it falls out or otherwise gets lost will have to use tape or some such to protect the port. What a PITA. Disappointing, wasteful, terrible aspect of its design.

What’s not to like? Light, strong, very reasonable pricing and the first one is 3000 miles in on roads, gravel and singletrack and zero issues. I’m not a gram weenie and have not weighed mine. I just want them to hold bottles and not be a pain. They do their job flawlessly. Just got a second one and will stick with these for other bikes we get as well.

Great looking seat. Seriously. It is so damn pretty to look at. Giving it 3 stars rather than 1 because I know the seat is high quality and I play a part in whether any seat will be right or wrong for me. I purchased the 143mm new, got it dialed in for angle and setback and knew during that process, within 5 mississippi of putting my soft bits on that cutout, that this was not a good saddle for me. It is the first saddle I have ever used (specialized, ergon, sellesmp) that I knew immediately would be terrible for me. I gave it a week if agonizing daily commuting 30-50 miles a day. I fiddled with it but there was no improvement. It is the saddle shape itself, the width of the cutout actually, that just caused the edge of the cutout to press on a nerve or blood vessel. It is also very hard for the amount of padding it has. It looks like it will feel like a dream but for me it wasn’t so. Returned it. For reference, I am 5’7” 130lbs with 10cm sit bones. Yeah, narrow pelvis. Tried a Specialized Power Arc. Several hundred miles in and so far so good... and it IS so good.

Installed this absolute black haunting in 15 minutes. That time includes removing the original crank set and original chainring. Replaced sram Force. Works perfectly so far. For some reason my derailleur actually got a lot smoother and quieter. No issues thus far but I’ve only had it installed for a few weeks. We’ll see. I do 200+ miles of commuting a week on very hilly terrain. Road and gravel. Recommend.
