other than the spot-on comments about how versatile this helmet is, I'll add that they got the fit right, at least for my head. I bought the Super 2R before, and it was just a bit too round and while loose on the sides, it caused a pressure point on the forehead. Had to return that. But, the 3R is perfectly shaped. It's a keeper! Also proved to be comfortable on a humid 90* day last week (I did not run the chin bar, but a buddy with the same helmet did)

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

About 200 miles on this wheelset, and in the past couple weeks I have nailed a big rock, slammed a big root, and landed a major endo totally expecting a wobble or a dent in the front rim. But, not a thing wrong! Perfectly straight, perfectly true. Also holding my Maxxis Ikon/Rekon 2.8's with 17r/15f psi without any squirm or burping. Really impressed by this wheelset. (other sets owned and ridden on other bikes for comparison include Reynolds carbon AM's, I9 Trails, Easton Haven carbons, Mavic Crossmax SLR)

will this work with 15mm thru axle forks? Is an adapter needed/included? Can you mount a 12x142 rear mountain bike backwards to do fork service? I see on the Elite website that they are mounting a road bike via the rear axle, but as a mountain biker will this stand work? (I'm guessing that the new 110/148 boost frames will not work with this)

not compatible with NiteRider

I bought this because it said it has a NiteRider mount. It does not, at least for my NiteRider MiNewt 750. This was confirmed by a Kali rep. Sending it back. It is a comfortable helmet, though.

REVISION:
I was packing this up tonight, getting ready to send it back tomorrow when I decided to look in my old parts bin. I have 2 NiteRider Minewt 750 lights, one from circa 2010, and one from 2014. The 2014 model is not compatible. But, in the box from the 2010 light I found the OLD handlebar mount that does work with this helmet. The newer light is not compatible out of the box, but the old mount is available separately for $10. So, in the end, I'm keeping the helmet.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have bought 4 cycling jackets in the past 2 years and this works the best for my cold weather rides, down to 20*F even with a couple layers underneath. One of my favorite features is the little left chest pocket that I tuck my camelback bite valve in and that prevents it from freezing. (blow back the water in hose to the resevoir) I did find that a cell phone in the middle rear pocket did condense a bit of sweat, but that wasn't a problem in the rear side pocket. The only thing missing though is a zippered rear pocket. I was afraid I'd lose my phone hopping over big logs and jumps, but I didn't. I am 5'7", 150 lbs with a 38" chest and size medium was perfect with 3 layers, a little loose with 1 layer but I'll take that versatility.

These kept my wife's feet dry and warm on her last ride at 30* with multiple stream crossings, which kept her happy :) They also fit true to her Sidi shoe size, so perhaps in the smaller sizes (she wears a 40) the sizing is true, unlike for the other reviewer with the larger feet.
