Familiarity: I've used it several times

Based on the other reviews I bought a 3XL and they are NOT too small. I am 6'4" and 195. I love these for Spring rides right now in the high 40s to 50s. However, I agree with the others that there is no fleece and these are a true lightweight knicker. I thing they are perfect for Spring when it's just too cool for shorts. The yellow stitching matched my Castelli jacket so I am buying another pair with red stitching to make a second kit with another light jacket. The chamois is different but I liked it; firm and race cut. I am glad I didn't pass these up at $72!

Fantastic rain jacket. A bit heavier duty than what I consider a "pocket liner" jacket which suited my needs. The sleeves run a little long for Castelli which suited me well at 6'4". Typically I size up with Castelli, however, in this instance I think it is more true to size. NO POCKETS. That's not a huge negative but a side zip rear pocket would have made it perfect.

They run small. My size 11 foot was too big for the size L sock but they did the job. I did not use them for cycling; used them for walking and wanted a thin fabric sock which these fit that description.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I rode all Winter with this jacket and just a base layer under it. I was comfortable into the 20s and added the sella rain jacket over it in the teens for extra wind protection. This jacket is amazing. I am 6'4" 195lbs and use a 3XL so be prepared for a tight fit if you aren't thin.
