30 years ago, I got my first 'big-pants' bike - a mid 80-ish Pinarello Asolo. I finally parted with it a month or so ago and took the big step to carbon fiber. I had read one review of it explaining the origin of 'GAN' as a loose translation or an acronym or some such thing of 'garden of eden' - meaning you'll feel like you're in the garden of eden while riding it, I suppose. That's a pretty strong promise but I was game. You won't be disappointed. This is one fine riding bike. Sure, it's not as light as the prince or dogma but the price point more than makes up for it. One thing to be aware of though is the seat post. In its quest for a better, sexier mousetrap there, Pinarello has created a little creaking machine. You WILL need some carbon fiber assembly paste (CC sells it). After you get that sorted out, the smiles and miles will come easy.

I bought this product hoping to upgrade a set of Topolino wheels bought back in 2010 using a SRAM 10 sp cassette but it seems to be a little to narrow to slide over the body. I don't know if the wheel design is older thus wider, the wrong type (campy) was sent or there is a product defect in this particular batch. Shucks! It looks great - single piece design and those funky outer cogs. Am I missing a trick or am I in over my head?
