Out of the box, this helmet is light. Substantially lighter than my previous Bell Zephyr. I've already used it on a couple 85 degree + rides, and air flow is excellent. The helmet has a nice aero profile, with a trim back end. But the real aero benefit is not obvious until you actually ride with the helmet. Their is very little material (not even padding) at the front center (ie. between your eyebrows, center of forehead). This allows a better flat back position, as the brim of the helmet doesn't interfere with vision. The front corners of the helmet are built up for protection, so you're covered in the event of a crash. The lack of padding above the eyebrow also serves another feature: no sweat dripping into your eyes. The fit adjustment works fine. As for fit, the helmet is typical kask: rounder fit. I have a more oval shaped head, 59cm. I went with a large, and there is a bit of room on the sides. However, the fit is secure. The valegro also has a smaller profile than the kask protone. I would highly recommend the Valegro.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This jacket looks quite underwhelming when you first take it out of the box( incredibly thin, almost fragile). But it is tough,REALLY is packable in your jersey, and blocks wind.
Fit is tight (as in, when you stand straight up it is very restrictive across the chest), but on the bike the fit is perfect with no flapping. Zippers are super high quality and re-enforced.

All I can say is......WOW!

Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is the first time I've every bought a complete bike, and it will be my last (at least from Competitive Cyclist). I usually buy frames and build them up. The price was good for this ultegra fitted X-Night, so I broke tradition. Huge mistake.
The attached picture shows the handlebar tape job. Wow. How exactly could that leave the hands of a competent mechanic. It gets worse. Much Worse. Rear disc brake set up so that if brake is applied, cable would saw through the carbon seat stay. Parts falling off, cables run the wrong way, no adjustment of the derailleur (front or rear). Had to fully disassemble and rebuild myself. It would have been easier if the components were dumped in a trash bag and mailed to me.
On the positive side, the frame looks nice and it came in a big sturdy box. I'll give the frame a 4 and the rest of the experience a zero, hence the 2 rating.

I will preface this by saying that I am not a big fan of Castelli clothing in general.
That being said, the Gabba is a super piece for training gear. With a base layer, it works down to at least 40 degrees. Good race fit (I'm 5'11", 40 chest,32 waist, Size L). It's waterproof enough for me. I also own the short sleeved version in black. Reasonable price for what you get.

Overall, a nice set of wheels. Much more comfortable than others in the class (eurus, fulcrum, ksyrium). Absolutely sold on the wide rim trend, it just makes sense. Light, stiff, nice hubs. Great for fast training and fast group rides, I still use deep carbon wheels for racing, but in reality these ardennes hoops don't really give up much to deep carbon wheels as far as aero benefits and certainly not weight. Plus the ease of alloy clinchers!

Just received the jacket, and I have to say it is disappointing. While the materials and build look to be fine, the fit of this jacket is all wrong. I am 5' 11'', 40.5 inch chest, 32 inch waist, with long arms (size 35 length in a dress shirt). The chart puts me squarely in the middle of a size large. The sleeves were probably 3 inches too long (and I have long arms), the length in the front was at least 4 inches too long, and if "impeccable fit" means you can comfortably stuff a 16 pound turkey in the midsection of the jacket, then I guess its impeccable.
