I've got about 150 miles on snow, mud and dirt from this late winter purchase. The Borealis frame and settup are overall great. I got the X0/X9 build with the Bluto fork which ended up a bit heavier than I'd hoped for. The tires are Surly Gnards and the wheels cannot be settup tubeless without major pain, both adding a lot of rotational weight. The rig as built is great on snow but needs lighter tires, a tubeless settup and different brakes other than the stock mechanical avid brakes to have more fun in Spring/Summer riding. For now I will only ride it for novelty outside of winter on terrain that I ride my hardtail.
If I had to do it over again I'd go for the X1 build has the better tires (same wheels), some other better components like brakes and cockpit and 1x11 simplicity. That seems like a more versatile rig.
