Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After originally fitting some MTB pedals which shall remain nameless to my gravel bike and dealing with a cleat that would never stay put on my shoe, and with the great help from my gear head, I exchanged the other pedals for these Time ATAC XC 6's.

I got about 70 miles in with these over two rides and deemed them good enough for the 165 mile charity ride I had planned. The ride was a combo of paved trail, unpaved trail, and paved and gravel roads. These worked great all day, 11+ hours of saddle time. No issues clipping in or out. I even popped out reasonably well when a friend went down on some sketchy trail 50 miles in and took my wife and myself with him.

These give you enough float so you can get yourself into a comfortable position but no so much that you feel like a deer walking on ice when you decide it's time to go fast.

These are easy to install, but ignore the torque specs in the instructions unless you have carbon soled shoes. Following the torque specs the cleats moved after my first two rides. I then wrenched them down; 50+ miles later no movement.

Update: 200 miles later the right cleat is a source of constant irritation. No amount of torque on the cleat keeps it from twisting. It's not loose. You can't move the cleat by hand but now it moved after a 63 mile mixed surface ride. It has too much inside float making it easy for my heel to hit the chain stay.
