Due to a number of reasons I had been out of the saddle for around 17years. I had previously owned a Specialized M2Comp and Kestrel all those years ago. At first glance I just loved the look of the frame. The attention to detail is stunning to me as I find bicycles not just engineering marvels but as art as well. Then I was punched in the gut at the price. Remember it has been a long time and I forgot how pricey this hobby can get. Then I took it on a test ride. It didn't take more than about a few feet of pedaling to know I could not purchase anything else (I had also considered a few other frames by Cervelo, Trek, and Specialized). This frame is a pure joy to ride. It inspires confidence at all speeds and tracks like nothing I've ever ridden. The angles aren't too aggressive but just right for club rides and semi serious racing. I am the only thing holding this frame back.
Back to its price. I believe it's more than justified. One would have to spend a hefty sum more to get a better ride. But as everyone is different, and we all know that no frame is perfect for everyone, it comes really down to taking it for a spin. Best purchase I've made in years.
