Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I purchased this light based on my previous experience with an older Light and Motion Urban 800 FC. That light has been across the country 3 times. I use it as a backup light because my main light is a dynamo powered light. Here's the good and the bad with the new light.

Good
-Waterproof. The first thing I did after charging up the light was to fully submerge it in a bowl of water while turned on. I left it in there for 30 minutes. The light was fine.
-Bright, white light. This is noticeably brighter than the outgoing 800 light. It is noticeably whiter light too. Not nearly as yellow looking.
-East to mount. Urban Light and Motion has a winner with their light mounting strap. The rubber is bombproof, easy to use, and adjustable. It's never failed me.
-Fast charge time. You pay extra for the fast charge and it is worth it.
-Great customer service, see below.

The Bad
-Flimsy charge port cover. They changed the charge port cover and mine snapped over the course of 3 charges. After discussing the issue with a customer service representative I was able to have an older cover mailed to me for free. They stated they had to change the charge port cover to work with their new quick release mount system. They didn't do themselves any favors by making the charge port cover flimsy.
-Battery life indicator is iffy when it's cold. It doesn't like the cold weather. Basically any temperature under 32 degrees. They will work, but the battery light indicator will turn red almost immediately. This leaves you wondering how much battery you have left, and will you make it home safely. It will do this even with a fully charged battery. I ride year round and have experienced this several times. I always have a back up light for this reason.
-Cost extra for fast charge option. In my opinion they should make all of their lights a fast charge. Why not make the best product possible?

If they could fix those issues this would be a 5 star product. Their customer service is 5 stars.

Great tires for the money. I put these on a Fargo for a 500 mile gravel race in Texas. They were the 45c's. What I liked was that they were fast rolling, shed mud and water quickly, and the larger knobs really did the job of keeping me upright when things got squirrely. I felt like the sidewalls were slightly thin. I had to keep pressure at around 35 psi to stop the sidewalls from folding over. Minor complaint, but I did feel pretty beat up after the 500 miles. The tread held up well, and I sold them to a friend to use. He is still using them in fact.

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I tried these on side by side with Castelli Sun Sleeves. The Pearl Izumi felt much warmer on my legs. The Pearl Izumi weighed more. The Pearl Izumi has more seams that can cause irritation. The Pearl Izumi's silicone band is not as functional as the Castelli. The Pearl Izumi sizes don't line up with my dimensions. I am 5'10 and weigh 160. My thigh is 20 inches and my calf is 12. I bought a medium and they fit the thigh perfectly but were baggy around the calf.

I tried these on after trying out a pair of Pearl Izumi sun protectors. The Castelli fabric felt softer. The Castelli fabric also felt cool on my skin. The Castelli also has a more functional silicone strip for the thigh area to keep them from slipping. The Castelli is lighter as well. Only gave them 4 stars because I noticed a seam starting to tear right out of the box. I'll fix it before it gets worse. I am 5'10 and weight 160. My thigh is 20 inches and my calf is 12 inches. I originally purchased a medium and they were too tight around the thigh. Put in an order for a Large the same day. Hoping they fit perfect.
