28mm on DT E1800s, replacing Conti 4000 that had approx 6000 miles on them (guess I’m easy on tires). Went on easily with just a smidge of gentle lever assistance for the last couple of inches. Aired up immediately with only a floor pump. Running initially at 70 psi, may need to push it to 75 as they felt slightly squishy. The ride was fabulous. Subjectively felt faster although the weather today was not conducive to pushing for PRs.

This kit will NOT work for the most recent Shimano brake systems (e.g. 8070). The funnel is too small to screw into the top port in the lever. There is an adaptor available (part number ST-R9120) which screws into the lever port, and then the funnel screws into the adaptor. Only with this can you get the last annoying bubbles out of the system. Should have been highlighted in the main description...

Have two of these, they work really well in Southern heat and humidity, especially paired with a good wicking base layer. I’m 6’0”, 175 lbs, Castillo XL fits my body really well. I would agree with others that these seem a little short, if I were 6’2” for example the XL would ride quite high.

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

In Southern Louisiana the "bad days" of winter are mostly 30's-50's, often sunny, can be windy, occasional light rain. This has become my favorite top for those conditions. Took a while to decide on sizing (XL vs XXL) as I hate the hassle of returns. Thanks to Nate for the size confirmation. For me, XL sizing is perfect - yes, it's form fitting, it's supposed to be. I will ride in the low 30s with a base layer such as the Flanders or Prosecco, and just a sleeveless core layer mid 40s-mid 50s. Above that it gets a bit steamy even with the vents open. Rear pockets are fine for a phone and a multitool.

This is the first Castelli product where I could go either L or XL. The main difference (IMHO) is that the bib length on the XL allows a bit more comfort when walking to the bike. Once on the bike, either works for me. I also bought the Team Sky version of these to save a few $$.
