Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I ride a lot. When I'm outdoors 50 miles is short. Any short is fine for less than 2 hours. Most are not good (for me) after that. I have had several pairs of Giordanas over the years and several different styles (and loads of other brands - none hold up to Giordana for me). This year's was my favorite. No sausage leg on these (maybe it's the style). the chamois is like butter and holds out forever. i also get crazy saddle sores - these keep them at bay the best (well, that, and taking a shower immediately after i ride - which i'm bad at).

I'm 5'7"+ 130- pounds - size medium was great. (I've had larges in the past)

Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I was told once you buy Assos you'll never go back. I was willing to pay the price. I put these on and they have a stand up seam (i.e., not flat) and it's annoying with harsh thread. i figured if i can't wear them in my house without noticing the seam, a long bike ride is probably going to be a disaster. i just bought a pair (actually 2 for the price of one) of new sugoi shorts and they have a flat, non-bothersome seam. hope those work out better - so far so good.
