I did my first mountain bike race as a freshman a few years ago. I've been hooked ever since and love riding my bike, being part of an awesome team, and racing hard!

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my second season on the LES 27.5 and I love it. I am 5'2" and 110 lbs and got an XS frame that fits me perfectly. It's light, fast, and still stable on the downhills. The full bike build with XO1 performs very well. I feel comfortable taking this bike everywhere from road rides to dirt jump parks. So I've definitely given my bike a beating but it's nothing it can't handle. In short the LES 27.5 shreds!

I love the tectal as a MTB helmet because of the added coverage in the back, making it safer for trail use. I also love the look of it too... Seems less "roadie" than the Octal. The adjustable visor and dial are easy to use, and my one complaint is that it doesn't hold glasses. Nonetheless an awesome helmet.

The most important aspect of a good helmet is its safety. Though I haven't crashed on my head yet with the helmet, I rest easy knowing that my noggin will be well protected if I do. The MIPS technology lets the helmet shell move and adjust according to impact. It's also definitely the best-ventilated helmet I've had.

Wholedration tastes great and sits in my stomach really well... It feels light and doesn't slosh around like other drink mixes. One of my favorite parts about Wholedration is that it is completely organic and non-GMO, so I can rest easy that I'm not fueling my body with anything harmful.

I'd been riding and racing a 29er all last season and so was weary of going down to 27.5 this season. Honestly, when I first got my Pivot, I couldn't tell the difference between wheel sizes. If anything, the 29er seems to roll slightly better on long, gradual climbs, but once again, I couldn't tell much of a difference between wheel size, at least on the uphill. I'm only 5'2", so I think the bike fit my body size much better than my 29er. Above all, the bike is smooth and fast on the downhill. The bike handling is great. It has a slacker geometry than my old bike and the fork is AWESOME for riding all types of terrain. It's a light bike that's great for fun rides and XC races.
